This one day Workshop was held and organized by Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) in collaboration with Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) from Manila, Phillipines.
Since the end of 2015, the Trustee, Supervisory, and Management Board of IICD have been considering to broaden IICD’s activities, by not only focusing on giving GCG and Directorship trainings to private sectors, IICD has also been planning to expand its training programs focusing on Public Governance. IICD looks forward to promoting and internalizing the best practices of Good Corporate Governance on public sectors so that the good governance culture could penetrate more and blended into the civil authorities on doing their assignments, which is serving the society. By civilizing best practices of Good Governance, the public service function will gradually be enhanced and the corruption culture will progressively be eradicated. IICD feels that to take one big step to civilize the good governance, is by delivering trainings of public governance.
With regard to that, IICD invited Dr. Jesus P. Estanislao, as the Founding Chairman of Institute of Company Directors (ICD) Phillipines, which focused on enhancing the implementation of GCG in Phillipines, and also recently as the Chairman Emeritus of Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) which focused on enhancing the reformation of Public Governance in Phillipines.
By having this workshop, IICD expects that Dr. Jesus Estanislao who was the former Minister of Finance of Philippines during President Corazon Aquino’s governmental period, could deliver many beneficial input and could share his valuable experiences in running ISA as the distinguished and reputable Public Governance institution in Philippines. And having said that, Dr. Jesus’ valuable inputs will be utilized prior to IICD’s benchmark in developing its Public Governance training modules.
The participants who attended this workshop were members of Trustee, Supervisory, and Management Board of IICD, also IICD distinguished facilitators and best fellows, who will in advance be involved in developing IICD’s Public Governance training program.
